Archive for February, 2009

So everytime I have a crop I always give a little something. Most of the time it is just chocolate. Well last night I put together little goodie bags with a scripture, some chocolate and a fabric bird you can hang up somewhere special… I got the pattern from a quilting magazine I purchased…Yes, I quilt but this magazine had some cute little gift ideas. It takes a lot of time to make these little birdies but it is well worth it. In my last post I put the scripture that goes with the little bird. Basically the bird is just a reminder that the things of this world can’t take care of you like God can. Being obedient to the word of God brings blessings in your life beyond anything in this world. So rely on God for your needs. Considering, every time we turn on the news ( which I do not watch) It is something about our economy and loss of jobs. I find we just need hope, faith and security in life and trusting God for our needs can give us this. Have a great day.

Okay, So I am holding a Faith 365 Crop every Thursday at The Family Church. We had a blast last night. I made little birds out of fabric and gave them as a little goodie along with a scripture and of course some chocolate…

The scripture is Matthew 6: 26-34

26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God, above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

I felt it appropriate considering all that is going on in the USA these days. I also had a project for everyone to do. Inspired by a very talented lady from Australia, Mandysea!

Yesterday, I was able to catch up on My journal pages….. I still have a few days of February to do but I do not have any ink in my printer.

I have been collecting some of the pictures Jacob and Jesse draw. I have set them aside and I used them as my picture of the day.

Day 31…The moon was huge. I went on a drive with the boys to find the perfect photo spot.

Day 32…I had to have a picture of this street sign. I never knew this street existed.

Day 33…Jaxon was just mezmerized by his candle flame. My baby turned 2.

Day 34…Jaxon ate the last of the cupcakes from his b-day and was playing with his Dinosaur nose. What a mess he made!

Day35…Jaxon and I have been getting on a little schedule. We…well he wakes up comes to get me and we go sit in the recliner and watch cartoons with our blanket all snugggly. Well he woke up today saying “moow” Well I could not understand what he was saying until I turned the channel on we normally watch and the Mickey Mouse “moow” Club was on. He started jumping up and down and went and patted on the tv…moow, moow.  I guess he likes mickey mouse

Day 36…I love this picture of jaxon.

Day 37 and 38… Jacob and Jesse came home from school today all partied up. They had Mardi Gras celebrations at school. They were pretty excited.

Day 39…Jaxon is ready to ride his daddies motorcycle.

Day 40…Fleur de Lis Petit fours

Day 41…My mission picture of “the red bird”…I am hopeful to get a great one by the end of this project.

Day 42…Jasin and his little SASSY self.

Day 43…Petit fours for a baby shower.

One last picture. I made this page at the Valentine Faith Crop. When I was loading my car that day the boys got into a box I had stored in the shed well this picture of ME was just blowing in the wind. So I brought it and made this page. The shadow in the top right of the photo is a side view of me but I think it looks just like Jaxon. Everbody at the crop that night thought the picture was of my daughter. Isn’t it great that our children are a reflection of us in so many ways.

This is me when I was 4.

On a Mission…

My Red Bird!

My Red Bird!

I have been on a mission since I got my camera 2 years ago… I love red birds, well they are really called Cardinals. We have a male and a female that frequent our back yard but I am never in the right place at the right time to actually take a picture without freaking the birds out. Well yesterday it was sort of rainy and I saw them….followed them around the yard a bit and he ended up in this tree….flew around from different branch to different branch and I was able to take this photo of this beautiful bird. I just wish he wasn’t hiding behind the leaf maybe he is just shy…LOL.

My little Jaxon

My little Jaxon

Jaxon went with me on the hunt for the great picture. He is such a cheese ball. Notice….He is always bare foot even when it is cold and raining. I am just greatful he had clothes on. He is in a wonderful stage right now. He does not want to use the potty chair but everytime he goes he takes his diaper off all day long. Talk about a big diaper bill. Some say this means he is ready for the potty but he won’t have anything to do with it.

Have a great weekend! It’s Mardi Gras here the kids will be out of school. Yeah:)

The kids at christmas...

You all know my children are my life. Alexandria is my only girl, she is 14. Jesse, left, 5.Jaxon, Middle, 2. Jacob, right, 7. This picture is taken at my Mother-n-laws home Christmas day. The boys received bb guns, camoflouge clothing and rubber boots for Christmas. Alex is wearing her Aeropostale outfit she got for Christmas. My husbands family live on 2 acres and all around them is sugar cane. At this time the cane is cut down and you can see such amazing land for miles. I had fun taking photos on this tree stump.

6 facts about me….

1. My husband says that people who drink coffee are generally happier people…until the doctor told him to stop drinking coffee because it is stressing him out…LOLI don’t think it was the coffe it was the 2 POTS of coffee he would drink a  day…..I know it has to be about me I am getting there. I love love love Chick fil A sweet tea. I do not order sweet tea anywhere else except Canes but it is tooooo sweet there. Chick fil A is the best. I go almost every morning and just order a tea. Mmmmm.

2. I would love to learn to swing dance and river dance. It is my hidden desire to SING and DANCE. Funny the reason it is hidden is a have a crazy fear of getting in front of people. It looks like so much fun, though. My husband is not into it I pray one day he will be.

3. I have a blankie. It is a soft plush blanket with a lighthouse on it and even in the hot, louisiana summers…when I am in my recliner watching TV. I will be all wrapped up in my blankie. I am cold all the time I prefer cold over hot. In the cold you can layer yourself to stay warm in the heat you can’t take enough off to stay cool. Man it gets hot in Louisiana.

4. I grew up in California in a small town called OJAI. about 2 hours north of Los Angeles. I have 5 younger sisters. I am 33 and my youngest sisters are twins that are 16. I Love the beach but not to swim just to hear the waves crashing. I miss that sound.

5. Last Summer my husband and I went to Sicily. 3 years previous we talked about how cool it would be to visit My husbands roots through a family we could stay with and do life as they would so it. A year after that we get an email from Francesco telling us his grandmother has the surname Muffoletto and wants to know our origins. After a year of corresponding through emails. He invites us to stay with him for 2 weeks. When we get there we are welcomed with open arms from the most amazing people we had ever met. Wow what a place. I tell Jasin if we ever had to move that would be the place I would Say Let’s Go in an instant. We still talk to them through facebook everyday in fact Jasin has everyone we met as a friend on his face book. Life is wonderfully amazing. People thought we were crazy for staying with someone we did not know but we felt as if we knew them just like family. It was the best time ever.

6. I love chocolate….Milk chocolate….Hershey bars plain, M&M’s, tootsie rolls. It is always in a bucket when I scrapbook, I give it when I teach scrapping classes and have it at all my faith crops. People who know me Know I will always have some kind of chocolate wherever I go…..My friend Heather just got me a t-shirt it says “Put the Chocolate in the bag and no one will get Hurt”. I love chocolate…….Not dark chocolate only Milk chocolate.!!!!:)

A lady I made Petit Fours for last year called Friday and needed some for a birthday for today, Sunday. Short notice but that is okay in the midst of all the stuff going on this weekend I was able to get them done and was a little inspired by them…..

Petit Fours with Fleur de Lis Picks

Petit Fours with Fleur de Lis Picks

Paper after I cut the Fleur de Lis on the Cricut

Paper after I cut the Fleur de Lis on the Cricut

Let me tell you why. The petit fours had Fleur de Lis on them. I cut them out using the Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge. Well I needed 36 so I used the auto fill which cuts as many 2 inch Fleur de Lis possible on the paper. When it was done cutting I get Perfect mask which inspired me to do this page for my journal.

I will Seek You....You = God

I will Seek You....You = God

The title is I will SEEK YOU. Jasin took this photo of me on our anniversary this last November. It was such a pretty day out. The sky was sooooo blue. A perfect day. One of my goals this year is to spend more time with God. I really need to put ALL my faith in God and be content with all the simple things in life. I tend to run around like a chicken with its head cut off….ALL THE TIME. Someone said to me today since I am not working what am I going to do because it is not like me to stay Idle. What a revelation always doing something…I have a purpose and many things I am working on…Not sure when it will all come to pass yet but soon I know.
