I am liking the Tim Holtz distress scratcher. I painted around the edge of the shaped paper, used the scratcher and scratched the edges and then I hand stitched around for a border. I layered some papers and followed the map almost to a T. The flower is a double layered paper flower I stamped and added a fabric covered brad. My new little trick on the edge of the paper I snip with scissors all down the edge then take a piece of sand paper and rough it up a bit. I sanded the edge off the photos and other layered papers. It is cool to fold up the edges tear it a bit then sand it gives a cool distressed edge. Oh something else cool….I used the bazzill cardstock with the raised dots, I layered the shaped paper on top. As I was sanding the edges I noticed it was picking up a bit of the raised dots underneath. I thought it made a cool texture so I did it all over the paper. I need a new sanding block I wore mine out on this layout.LOL! šŸ™‚

Busy night!!

Well it is funny I have not made a cake and or Petit Fours in a few months and now I have people calling for them like crazy. I made Petit fours last night for a friend who is giving a baby shower. I wanted to share them with you. I cut the little outfit on the cricut…New Arrival cartridge. I printed the babies name many times on a piece of pink paper and used a flower punch and put the flower with the babies name on the little dress. It makes it more personal and something cool they can add to a scrapbook later. It is also something you can use to remember the event…Like a party favor. So here they are.

Birds in Holland…..

Well a few weeks back Jenneke posted on her blog some pictures of the birds in her garden I asked her to email me the photos. Well she was concerned I would loose quality if she emailed them to me so in my first surprise package from her I received a cd with many birdie photos. I told her I wanted to frame them since it is sort of the theme I have going on. Well at Target… The new one in the dollar spot I found this 3 pack of 4×4 frames for $2.50. I bought 2 packs and went back today for more. I am in love with these cheap little frames. They come with the black ribbon hanger. They were originally white I just distress painted them. I have kits from Jenni Bowlin that I have saved all the cool vintage pieces. So now I get to use it on stuff I am putting in my space. My grandmother is a collector and I have a major love of all things used, old and sometimes ugly. I often wonder what the history is behind each little piece of vintage sweetness. Okay so here are the photos of the frames. I love them hope you do too!

Frames before and after! $2.50.... wow, I love a bargain.

I am taking pictures everyday and I write a little something down so I will remember why I took that particular photo. I am just doing random pages to put in my journal as the days go by and wow they go by fast. I know that is funny considering everyday is 24 hours. Why does it seem like time flies alot quicker these days. So I got 2 packages from Jenneke and I wanted to make a page with some of the stuff she sent. I love the little girl stamped on cardstock and this really cool stencil that now that she knows what it does she want’s it back haaaaheeeeeeLOL, it makes the swirls you see on the page. The bird house and the bird cage is a stamp set she sent. The butterflies are felt and self adhesive. Plus a pack of bingo sheets. Love it all.

It reminds me each day to have faith and to think and speakĀ  positively. We all make mistakes and fall short but I am going to try my best to be the best I can be Everyday.

My Journaling....

My Journaling....

The boys got BB guns for Christmas and that is all they want to do is shoot them. $20 each and that is the only thing they really play with that we got them for Christmas….

Toilet Town….This is the funniest thing. Jacob sits on the toilet and plays his game boy most of the time but this time he was on the toilet guiding Jesse to get him pieces of their wooden train. By the time he got off the toilet they made streets of toilet paper and a little town. LOL

I taught a Cricut class and while trying to cut fabric with the machine I discovered these cool little flowers. I am addicted to making them. I love fabric just as much as I love paper.

I used to eat Peanut butter right off the spoon and now the boys do it. Mmmmmm good.

Well Jasin and I went to Sicily last summer. We stayed with Francesco and Adry Piazza and the rest of their family which we think somehow Jasin and Francesco are cousins. Well Adry just found out they were pregnant right before we got there. There baby was born January 9th and this day we got photos from Sicily of their precious little princess, Sara.

I can finally use my stuff. which I have a ton of but now it is visible and at arms reach. I love to scrap in my space.

This is flip the chicken….I think she is a little crazy… Very loud. I am affraid the guy gave us a rooster instead of a chicken.
