Well What a weekend to get married…It was crazy for our honeymoon and Jasin has been trying for 2 months to get a bed and breakfast reservation from here to 10 buck 2….So what did we do.

We went to Abbeville for a couple hours walked around, Held hands, kissed in the park, Jasin even went into a few antique stores with me and we ate at the Riverfront Grill. MMMMMMM yummy. We had a wonderful day and the weather was beeeaaautiful.

I brought my camera and took a few shots…I can’t wait to scrap them…. Maybe I will get to it by our 25th anniversary. Ha Ha.

I did not take this picture….I have been driving all around Lafayette looking for a great picture of the leaves turning. It is a sure sign of Fall. I grew up in California and we have mountains and trees and hills just like this. My Grandmother has a BEAUTIFUL tree that turns many different colors every year.

What an awesome blessing…

About a month ago a lady named Mary Baum joined us at our Faith Crop night at TM with her daughter Mandi. I remembered her because Her great grandson went to Mothers Day Out at The Family Church when I taught there. She is an artist and this night she was working on the most adorable picture for her dear friend. I asked her if she could make me one when she had time though I know TIME is hard to come by. She said she would and I told her my 2 staples when I scrapbook are glue sticks and chocolate and I am really into the bird trend right now. To my very pleasant surprise she brought my picture to Faith Crop this last Thursday night. I was so excited. Well the framed picture below is the picture she drew me and I decided to scrap around it sort of like a shadow box. I dug through my cool Jenni Bowlin Kit stash and came up with this. Mary is so very talented I love my beautifully whimsical picture she drew one of a kind for little ol’ me!

What a blessing she is to me.

All Boy

Hmmmmm….My camera loves to take pictures of Jaxon and the kids with their shadow. It seems they are always in deep thought cause they stand there long enough for me to get a good shot. I started this layout at Faith Crop last week and finished it last night. I am trying to make an 8 1/2 x 11 layout each time we meet for Faith Crop. Most of them have a scripture or something inspirational. On this Layout the scripture is…

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar high like eagles, they will walk and not grow weary they will run and not grow faint.” Isaiah 40:31

In scrapbooking anything goes so I used the card that comes with the bingo cards that shows all the different ones in the pack. It made for a great little embellishment. I alcohol inked the star. I used the dauber first then dropped tiny drops on the star to get the little circle effect. I used the mini papers from Jenni Bowlins older green and blue line of paper, I cut it into strips then folded one to make the half circle behind the star sort of like a fan. The birds are Jenny Bowlin rub-ons My favorite. Ahhhh, The background paper is October Afternoon it came in my last months kit from Jenny Bowlin. I love her kits, they always have unique items and paper I may never see together in the scrapbook store. Love it.
