Faith Croppin’

Today I have been preparing for the first official Faith Crop Night at Treasured Memories.

It is this Thursday, July 31. We will meet from 6 to 12pm.

We have a Make ~n~ Take. My pastors wife from The Family Church, Pastor Tessy is stopping by for a few minutes to share her passion for Christ. I am so excited. Oh did I mention I will be making petit fours. Most of the day today I spent on-line or in my bible to find scriptures and inspiration to share with all of you. I believe the number of people who have emailed me they plan on attending is now 19, believe it or not we can sqeeze a few more. Well, in the process of finding inspiration for you, I was inspired. I remembered a photo Matt and Stacy took of Jaxon and I always thought it looked like He was looking up at the angels. I found a page in a book called Scrap booking Your Faith that had the title “She Sees Angels” so I scraplifted the title and made a page. I am putting all the Faith Crop night handouts and info into a 8 1/2 x 11 binder so I made this page 8 1/2 x 11 so it can fit in my binder. It will be sort of my scrapbook journal. I am posting the page below hope you are inspired.

I used White card stock for the base and dry brushed the background with a pale yellow paint. I used a small piece of polka dot paper to add a little color and added little circles that I cut with a cuttle bug die cut. I painted chipboard with the same pale yellow but inked the edges with brown and teal. I like a little dimension. Love my new Jenni Bowlin stamp. It is a circle with parenthesis in the middle. Add a couple Hiedi Swapp ghost stars sewed on with Martha Stewart bakers twine ( love this twine )!

I love it. Can’t wait til Thursday. Be Blessed.

I had to make a cake this weekend. It is a Princess crown cake. The cake frosting is Buttercream and I piped all the details. The wand and the crown where constructed with Fondant. Not my favorite thing to use as a frosting but I like it to make the detailed additions to the cake. It takes time but the results are far greater than buttercream. So My friend needed this cake for her daughters 3rd birthday.  The birthday girls name is Micah. Happy Birthday. On the crown I put the letter M. I surprised myself on this one.

I am posting a photo of the cake I made and a photo of the picture my friend emailed for me to copy.

Please tell me what you think.

My cake!  The cake I copied!

Treasured Memories has a new series on the calendar.

I will be using Cricut cartridges to create a variety of 2 page layouts. I love paper piecing and there have been many requests for a class on how to use the Cricut. Plus, I know there are many of you who have purchased cartridges and do not know just how cute they really are. I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge to cut everything on this layout.

Hello to all the Faith Scrappers out there. I am writing this post today to introduce FAITH CROPPIN’ at Treasured Memories. I added a FAITH CROPPIN’ page to my blog so check it out to get all the details and for information on events we may be having. I see ALL NIGHT CROPS coming soon. YEAH!

I have been praying and searching for a place all of us could scrapbook together. It had to be a place with enough space to spread out, a place I did not have to set up and tear down each night and a place that had many scrapbook supplies at our fingertips. Thank You to Janet, the owner of Treasured Memories. She is very excited to let us use her store for our FAITH CROPPIN’ nights.

This will be a place to fellowship, journal, and scrapbook in a peaceful christian enviornment. So bring your favorite christian music and a happy, faith driven heart and join us. Can’t wait to meet you or see you again.

Our first meeting night is July 31st.

Please email me at  a_muffoletto@hotmail.com  if you have questions or plan on attending.

I need to know if you will be attending because space is limited. Plus, anyone who has taken my classes, been to my small group or All Night Scraps knows I love to bring surprises, So I need to make sure there is enough for everyone.

Love to all.

A sweet surprise!

Well, today is Monday and I started my first day of work at Treasured Memories. I am only working Mondays. I am excited just to be able to work doing something I totally love. Well, Before I started my work day I was supposed to teach a canvas book class to a few people who could not make it on Wednesday. To my sweet surprise I ended up teaching 11 people. I love it. A full class is fun and today almost everyone picked out their own paper. What awesome books they came up with. I love watching the project unfold into the finished project. Everyone puts their own ideas to work. I love teaching.

Here is a sneak peak of my next book class. It is a boy book but you can make it with any paper you like. Get ready to put on your tool belt girls…. we are using power tools. I have a secret weapon to complete this project an idea that started with some brain storming with Matt. You rock Matt. It will be on the schedule for August at Treasured Memories. Keep checking the Treasured Memories blog for the August calender dates.
